Buddha Monk first emerged as the “capo regime” of the Brooklyn Zu Mafia — the extended Zu Family surrounding the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard. In the years since ODB’s passing, Buddha has carried that legacy forward, assuming leadership of the family and becoming, in every sense, the Zu General.

Originally released in 1999, The Prophecy became an underground Wu-Tang classic, despite suffering from limited distribution through its original label, Edel America.

Now, The Prophecy Revisited returns in a newly digitally remastered edition, bringing this essential piece of the Brooklyn Zu legacy back to listeners. Production is handled primarily by Buddha Monk, alongside his brother Marcus Logan and Phat Vibe. Throughout the album, Buddha is joined by members of Brooklyn Zu, Zu Ninjaz and The Manchuz, along with an array of Wu-Tang affiliates — including Ol’ Dirty Bastard himself.

Raw, uncompromising and unmistakably of its era, The Prophecy Revisited (Digital Remaster) captures the sound and spirit of the extended Wu-Tang family at the turn of the millennium. A true underground Wu-Tang classic, restored for a new generation.
