Art Lillard

Art Lillard is a drummer, composer, and arranger whose career spans decades on the New York jazz scene. A Berklee graduate and Florida native mentored by Ira Sullivan, he has recorded and performed with greats such as Jaki Byard, Junior Cook, Buddy DeFranco, and Arturo O’Farrill. With his Blue Heaven band, Lillard brings an authentic cross-section of jazz traditions — from Dixieland to bebop — always grounded in rhythm, swing, and heart.
