In the beginning of the milleneum, at what is now known in Hip-Hop as the Soul Kid Lab aka Foreclosure Studios, The Yalloppin’ Hounds would rehearse every week, ever experimenting in new formats of music that usually would never be able to be played in public due to the stylistic restraints of the New York City swing dance scene. The Yalloppin’ Hounds were known for creating an innovative blend of Swing with Hip-Hop. Here is a rare video clip of such a workshop rehearsal thanks to Lorenz Giorgi testing out G-Clef’s then new vidcam.  It’s late 2000.  The song is called “Why”, written by G-Clef da Mad Komposa.  Musicians include G-Clef, Jon Mark McGowan, Marlon Sobol, Peter Hartmann, Sasha Dobson, Jeremy Bacon, Rob Lewis.
